Scrutiny 12.4-b

x = 2+ 2

y = 4

Does x = y?

Argue for both cases, yes and no.

5 comments:

  1. Yes: mathmatically x=2+2=4=y

    No: If x is referring to 2 apples plus 2 apples and y is referring to 4 wingnuts then x does not equal y

    . . .

    Did I get it right???

  2. I wouldn't say there are really any "right" or "wrong" answers.

    Although, your response did meander into Scrutiny 12.4-c.

  3. Of course x equals y.

    However, y does not equal x.

    It's just the way things are.

  4. In a recent election 52% of the other variables voted that x does not equal y.

    However, inherently and intrinsically all variables are created equal, therefore x does equal y.

  5. I say no.

    Because I can.

    Because everything is subjective.
