White Tees and Ballet Slippers

Well, I think I'm going to refrain from any more "reconciliation" posts. I merely started because I was asked how I possibly could reconcile my beliefs and the LDS Church's.

I forget such people really don't care how I reconcile. They just want to make fun of my beliefs in an attempt to shame me into shedding them.

Doesn't work.

Sorry -- well, not really... or at all.

And since I don't think my beliefs are required for others' salvation, I don't feel the need to share them in a public sphere where people willingly come to feel offended because I don't believe what they do and then can't discuss things logically, respectfully, and meekly.

  1. I don't know where your readers came from, literally out of the woodwork to criticize you in the previous posts. Weird. Well, I am glad you've shared what you've shared. It's helpful for me, at least.

  2. Ditto, Ezra. Damn, where did they come from?

I especially enjoyed those who swore "NOW I'm never coming back" "Er, I mean after this post."

I enjoyed the posts thoroughly; I hadn't looked at the Proclamation or 132 in that light before, and I thank you for sharing it. I'm sorry the assholes came out of the wordwork to shoot you down. Much as I want to encourage you to flip 'em off and do what you wanted to do, I understand why you're stopping.

Just know you had many behind you.

  3. Thanks, Ezra & Lisa. You've made me decide to start up another blog. See my next post for details.
