I was actually thinking that the kids might enjoy getting pumpkins out of a real live pumpkin patch instead of the WalMart parking lot and wondering if it was worth a 45 minute drive...
When do they start selling and when will they be all sold out?
I believe they start selling next weekend and being sold out is variable.
Forty-five minutes is quite the drive for pumpkins... but kids do seem to enjoy trekking through the fields and choosing pumpkins -- I don't know if they're still doing it this year, but in the past, my pa or little brother would also give tractor rides (well, rides on the trailer attached to the tractor) around the patch.
Your folks raise pumpkins, by chance?
ReplyDeleteThat they do.
ReplyDeleteMy little brother was also in the segment.
Those were some awesome pumpkins. We've got pumpkins in our garden this year. They're sad, scrawny little things.
ReplyDeleteLittle kid running through the pumpkin patch = nephew, young man helping unload the recovered pumpkins = brother?
